FORT BRANCH DATELINE

Thomas T. “Tom” Hormuth, age 78 formerly of Haubstadt,  passed away Friday, December 30, 2011 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton.  He was born September 17, 1933 in Haubstadt to the late Theodore and Loretta (Ziliak) Hormuth.  He resided in Fort Branch the past 20 years.  Tom retired from farming & Traylor Brothers Construction in Evansville. 

He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.  Also preceding him in death was his wife Phyllis in 2008.

Tom is survived by two daughters; Susie (Mike) Nowatkowski of West Point, NY,  and Katy (Steve) Crenshaw of Jacksonville, FL.  Five sons; Thomas Hormuth, Jr. (Tori) of Baltimore, MD, Chris Hormuth of New Albany, IN, Michael (Pam) Hormuth of Evansville, Matt Hormuth of Fort Branch and Jerry (Natalie) Hormuth of Virginia Beach, VA.  10 grandchildren.  One sister, Mary Jo Gries of Haubstadt.  Several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 AM Friday, January 6, 2012 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Fr. Tony Ernst as celebrant.  Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery in Haubstadt.  Friends may visit with the family from 9 AM until Mass time Friday at Holy Cross Church.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross Church.

Wade Funeral Home in Haubstadt is handling the arrangements.
