Carol Sheridan
Carol J. Sheridan, 77 passed away Monday, April 23, 2012 at River Pointe Health Campus
In Evansville. She was born June 16, 1934 in Princeton, IN to the late Victor and Helen (Fletcher) Thacker. She resided in Haubstadt 50 years moving from Evansville. Carol retired as a Registered Nurse from Welborn Baptist Hospital in Evansville.
She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella Circle #151 and AARP. Carol organized and developed the Welborn Baptist Hospital Post Anethesia Care Unit. She was active in the American Cancer Society Relay-For-Life.
Also preceding her in death were her husband, Donald in 2000 and a great-grandson, Isaiah Sheridan.
Carol is survived by her nine children: Franci (Daryl) Elpers of Haubstadt, Matt (Tiffany) Sheridan of Owensville, Vicki (Stu) Nathan of Fort Branch, Angie (David) Hunsucker of Whiteland, IN, Lauri (Steve) Schmitt of Haubstadt, Katie (Phil) Wilzbacher of Haubstadt, Terri (Dave) Kiesel of Haubstadt, Steve Sheridan of Petersburg, Susan Sheridan and “adopted daughter” Linda Smith both of Noblesville, IN. 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. One brother, Jerry Thacker of Greencastle. Brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Faye Sheridan of Haubstadt; Sister-in-law, Rita Sheridan of Indianapolis. Several nieces and nephews and extended family.
A Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 AM Friday, April 27, 2012 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Tony Ernst as celebrant. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 9:00 AM until Mass time Friday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice Care or The Donald J. Sheridan Education Endowment Fund at St. Joseph Catholic School in Princeton, IN.
